CHILDRENS WELL BEING ART GROUP

Weekly art groups for 6-12 year olds,

at St. Georges New Arts Centre, Gravesend.

What will I offer?

I am very concerned about childrens' happiness and well-being, and, in light of the harm caused to their mental health over the last two years by the Covid-19 Pandemic, I want to offer regular well-being art sessions to help alleviate the stress  many of them have been under. Separated from their wider families and friends as well, when lockdowns and school closures have been implemented many children have witnessed the effects of adult stresses and the impact on them has been huge. The Pandemic continues to have an impact on the children both emotionally and socially and hope to use these sessions to improve their well being.

When will the sessions run?

Starting in February 2022, I propose to run the sessions from 10:30am until 12 on Saturday mornings throughout the year for children aged 6-12 years.

The cost will be £100 for a block of six themed art sessions, which will include materials and refreshments. Once booked, this is non-refundable

We also run taster sessions at £20 per child which must be booked in advance.

There will be a waiting list to enable more children to participate over time. If there are free spaces within a block of sessions, children who have been before will be welcome to apply again. Each session will host up to 16 children.
